Hello friends!!!!!
My Experience:
Internship Experience at AIMERS & Indian Servers
By Rishendra Ruppa
Internship ID: AIMERS-025-06
Period: MayβJune 2025
Organizations:
πΉ AIMERS β Artificial Intelligence Medical and Engineering Researchers Society
πΉ Indian Servers β Software Development Company
My Experience:
My internship journey at AIMERS and Indian Servers has been an eye-opening and transformational experience. Over the course of the program, I was introduced to the powerful world of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, and Computer Vision through a blend of theory, hands-on labs, and project-based learning.
I got the chance to:
Work on live, real-world projects.
Collaborate with industry professionals.
Learn the latest tools and frameworks like YOLOv8, Gemini API, and Telegram Bot APIs.
Gain exposure to both AI and security domains, equipping me with multidisciplinary knowledge.
Being mentored by Sai Satish Sir (President of AIMERS and CEO of Indian Servers) was truly inspiring. His guidance gave me a clear understanding of how technology can be used not just for innovation, but also for solving critical real-world problems.
Projects I Worked On:
Project 1: AI Chat-bot for Telegram using Gemini
Objective:
To create a conversational AI that mimics ChatGPT and integrates seamlessly into Telegram for real-time query resolution.
Key Highlights:
Created a Telegram bot that uses the Gemini API to understand and respond to user queries intelligently.
Used python-telegram-bot for smooth communication flow.
Deployed on Google Colab using webhook and polling to maintain real-time interactivity.
Implemented features to enhance user experience, including message logging, command recognition, and error handling.
What I Learned:
How Natural Language Processing (NLP) works.
Integration of AI with messaging platforms.
Building reliable, scalable chatbot backends.
Importance of UX in AI communication tools.
Technologies Used:
Python, Telegram Bot API, Gemini API, Google Colab, Webhook, Polling, Blackbox AI

Project 2: Drone Detection System using YOLOv8
Objective:
To design an AI system capable of detecting drones in real-time, addressing
growing concerns in surveillance and security.
Key Highlights:
Used a labeled drone dataset from Roboflow (1000+ images).
Trained a custom YOLOv8 model on Google Colab (GPU-enabled) with high-resolution images (640Γ640) for 100 epochs.
Developed a Python-based inference system to detect drones in images and videos.
Achieved impressive confidence scores even under challenging conditions:
Daylight: 0.90
Night time: 0.79
What I Learned:
Training deep learning models with YOLOv8.
Dataset preparation, augmentation, and tuning.
Evaluating model performance with confidence scores and real-time inference.
Real-world AI deployment scenarios in surveillance.
Technologies Used:
YOLOv8 (Ultralytics), Python, Roboflow, OpenCV, PyTorch, Google Colab
Skills Gained:
β Python Programming
β Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning
β Computer Vision (YOLOv8)
β Natural Language Processing (NLP)
β Telegram Bot Development
β Real-time Inference & Deployment
β Cybersecurity Awareness
β API Integration (Gemini, Telegram)
