To check whether the given number is divisible by 7 (or) not, the following 5 steps are needed.

• Step - 1 : First take a number, for example : 5677

• Step - 2 : Now take the units place of the given number i.e " 7 ".

• Step - 3 : multiply this number 2 times i.e 7 × 2 = 14.

• Step - 4 : Now subtract this number from remaining number.

• Step - 5 : it means, 567 - 14 = 553.

Now repeat the same process again,

That is, 3 × 2 = 6.

=> 55 - 6 = 49

Therefore, 49 is divisible by 7.

Therefore, 5677 is divisible by 7.
