To check whether the given number is divisible by 29 (or) not, the following 5 steps are needed.

• Step - 1 : First take a number, for example : 5887

• Step - 2 : Now take the units place of the given number i.e " 7 ".

• Step - 3 : multiply this number 3 times i.e 7 × 3 = 21.

• Step - 4 : Now add this number to the given number.

• Step - 5 : it means, 588 + 21 = 609.

Now repeat the same process again,

That is, 9 × 3 = 27

=> 60 + 27 = 87

Therefore, 87 is divisible by 29.

Therefore, 5887 is divisible by 29.
